Its difficult to swallow the "You have to go backwards to go forwards" ethos when switching to "mature" products like Wayland that are 15 years old (only 4 years younger than Xorg). I'm amazed Debian did the switch at this stage, Debian is supposed to be the stable one that doesn't break things, they should have let another more experimental distribution part the waves first.
