Compute Module • Replacing USB Type A 3.0 with USB Type C

I am designing a carrier board and I am replacing the USB Type A 3.0 with USB Type C. I was going to front end the USB-C port with TI HD3SS3212 2:1 MUX to deal with having only a single super speed lane. The HD3SS3212 interfaces with the CC Controller (PD) for the orientation of the USB-C plug. The CM5 has input for CC1 and CC2 and wonder if the orientation / direction is indicated in a GPIO line or way to access it using overlays?
